Ho Chi Minh

Hồ Chí Minh (May 19, 1890 – September 2, 1969) was a Vietnamese revolutionary and statesman, who later became Prime Minister (1946–1955) and President (1955–1969) of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh is most famous for leading the Viet Minh independence movement from 1941 onward, establishing the communist-governed Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945 and defeating the French Union in 1954 at Dien Bien Phu.

Ho Chi Minh was fluent in Vietnamese, several dialects of Chinese, English, and French. He was also known to speak Thai, Spanish, German and Russian. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) is named after him.

Quotes:
- "Nothing is more precious than independence and liberty."
- "I follow only one party: the Vietnamese party."
- "You can kill ten of our men for every one we kill of yours. But even at those odds, you will lose and we will win." (referring to France and America in their wars in Vietnam)
- "It is better to sacrifice everything than to live in slavery!"
- "The Vietnamese people deeply love independence, freedom and peace. But in the face of United States aggression they have risen up, united as one man."
- "We have to win independence at any cost, even if the Truong Son mountains burn."
- "When the prison doors are opened, the real dragon will fly out."

Vietnamese Music !

Hi,

It is a long time since my last entry. I am too lazy to take care of my blog and to study. I am very busy this time. A lot of assignments and exams still need to be done and I scare that I do not have enough time to finish all of them. It results from my bad study habit. I always start to do the assignment only one week before the deadline :p. That is why I often have some sleepless nights. It makes me tired so I need some refreshments. As you know, listening to music is one of the best ways to relax. And Vietnamese songs are great favourites of mine. I wonder why the number of people knowing about Vietnamese music is not high :p. Ha ha, so I decide to do a special promotion of the music of my motherland. Two of the best VNese songs will be brought to you by me each week (am I boasting? ^^). The songs of this week are Giai Dieu Tinh Yeu (Love Melody) and Anh Tin Minh Da Cho Nhau Mot Ky Niem (Sweet Memories for short). Hopefully you enjoy them.

No. 1: Anh tin minh da cho nhau mot ky niem - Sweet Memories

No. 2: Giai dieu tinh yeu - Love melody. I really like the chorus of this song

No Title !

Dear Diary,

Sorry for beginning as a schoolgirl :D. I just want to change the atmosphere. Today, I wake up at 7:30 am and I can see that my room is flooded with the sunshine. The weather is so nice that it inspires me to go out but anyway, I need to have breakfast first. After finishing a full bowl of pasta, I realize that the sky is shrouded in dark clouds. Oh my god! the weather changes so fast. I wonder what I should do today, going out or just staying at home as yesterday?. Finally, having a rest and chatting with my girlfriend is my choice. Then, I have a good sleep from 1 pm to 3pm. It is really good for my health. After that, I go into the kitchen and I see Ally staying there with her laptop (of course, it plays a vital part in her life). She is very happy to let me know that she has another piano student. He is one of Melvin's friends - Victor, a violinist. He he, she could do a big business by opening a training course for people who want to know how to play Tonghua or Canon. I am very surprise to know that some of my flat mates are instrumentalist. Ally is a pianist, Mandy is a guitarist, and Kevin is a clarinettist (please forgive me if I use a wrong word :p). I hope I have a chance to have dinner with my girl in the light of the candles while my friends play some music. It is really romantic. Could you guys help me make my dream come true? :p.

Tomorrow is the beginning of my Euro trip, I have to fly from Newcastle Airport to London Stanted Airport, spending a whole night there and taking an early flight to Amsterdam. What are waiting for me in the capital of Netherlands? Hopefully you know, they are the sex museum and the red light district. They are so attractive, especially for a young man with an inquiring mind like me. However, my girlfriend will travel with me so I will only go there to have a look and I will not do anything else. Do not have to worry about me.

It is 2 am and I can hardly open my eyes. I want to go to sleep right now. See you next Saturday.

April Fool's Day

Hi,

Do you like my blog's template ? I hope your answer is "YES". I do not design it. I have just downloaded it from the following site http://blogger-templates.blogspot.com/. You also can find a lot of really nice templates by using Google with the keywords "download free blogger template". This is the first entry for my English blog. He he, I am very lazy so that I just take care of my Vietnamese blog. I still remember that I told Melvin that my blog would have at least one new entry per week but...Sorry Melvin, boast is not taxed.

Today is April Fool's day but I think that only western countries celebrate this day. So please do not trick people in Vietnam even if it is 1st April or they will kill you. Tonight, Melvin knock at my door while I am chatting with my girlfriend. I wonder what he wants because it is 1 a.m. With a serious face, he tells me that the microwave oven does not work. "The microwave oven does not work. It is impossible", I ask myself. I go to the kitchen and I see Ally staying there and then Melvin starts laughing. He says that it is 1 a.m so today is 1st April and he wants to trick me. I am his second victim and Ally is the first one. I swear to take revenge. Maybe, I will cooperate with Ally to trick Melvin.

It is 3 a.m now and I still can not sleep. What's happen to me. Somebody helps me !!!!!!
